I’ve seen Kovy very little but 43 points in 81 games isn’t horrible. For him it’s not impressive and for the amount of money they’re paying it’s disappointing but it doesn’t sound like a train wreck. I know his +/- stinks but that’s been his whole career.

Anyway, screw him. LA wasn’t about winning the Cup. It was where he wanted to be since the before the Devils went all in on him forever. And it’s fine but for Kovy it’s always been about the money so that third year was just a cash grab.

Guy Carbonneau was Patrice Bergeron, before there was a Patrice Bergeron.
He definitely belongs in the HOF.
The man was an amazing 200' player.
He, like Patrice sacrificed individual point totals for the greater good of the team.
Very good choice by the committee.

Defensively yes. But Bergeron Has been a much bigger offensive contributor. They’re not comparable IMO. I’m not sure there is a comparable in today’s game. The checking center doesn’t really exist anymore.

Not really disagreeing here, but IF Guy was in Bob Smith's slot as 1C, he'd have hit 100+pts as well.
He could do it all, much like Gainey and Patrice.
